The goal of the collaboration of the Slovak and Polish teams is to connect the individual scholarly projects in the fields of phenomenology, political philosophy, history of philosophy and social theory. The collaboration shall focus on two areas. The first one concerns the research of subjectivity with a focus on intentionality, affectivity, corporeality, passivity, but also intersubjectivity, responsivity, and action as key categories. The research takes its point of departure from the work of the representatives of the first and second waves of the phenomenological movement, as well as from the work of contemporary authors who problematize the traditional treatment of these themes. The second area of interest concerns interdisciplinary issues and the debate with the contemporary approaches of neurosciences, psychoanalysis or various currents of postructuralism. The discussed issues comprise the relation between phenomenology in its traditional form and its later developments, methodological points of departure, the position of the first person, the relation of phenomenology and post-phenomenology, as well as inspirational phenomenological reinterpretations.
