For this, firstly, I discuss the republican concept of freedom. This is followed by a reflection on the relationship between the individual and the Modern State in terms of an analysis of the subjective legitimacy of power based on consent. Finally, I set out to examine republican political freedom from a historicist perspective, venturing some reflections on the relationship between the republican State as promoter of freedom and historical liberating practices. %B Filozofia %V 75 %P 460 - 473 %G eng %U https://www.sav.sk/journals/uploads/06241535filozofia.2020.75.6.3.pdf %9 State %2 Articles %3 460473
