The paper is a discussion of tragedy as an analogy to the tragism of life which has its roots in the conflicts between individual freedom and power, love and hatred. Further, it examines the constructive and destructive elements of tragedy, i.e. love and hatred, as well as the roles the law, necessity and the sublime play in tragedy. It also outlines the interconnection and mutual interdependence of freedom, necessity, immortality and the sublime It also shows, how the crisis is transformed in the art of tragedy.
