Salary grade:

8, (degree according to professional experience) functional salary is determined in accordance with Act no. 553/203. Z. z. on the remuneration of certain employees for the performance of work in the public interest and on the amendment of certain laws as amended.

Main work focus:

Scientific research activity in the field of political philosophy and normativity

Activities will be focused mainly on:

• Cooperation and communication with research team of scientific projects
• Cooperation on preparation and solution of scientific projects
• Publishing of results of scientific research in scientific, especially indexed journals published in Slovakia and abroad and in monographs published by Slovak and foreign publishers
• Presenting the results of own research at scientific events in Slovakia and abroad
• Cooperation in the preparation, organization and implementation of scientific events in Slovakia and abroad
• Expert, opponent, assessment and review activities in relevant scientific field and specialization
• Supervising of theses in relevant scientific field and specialization
• Other duties of the employee in accordance with relevant legal standards, internal regulations of the SAV and FiÚ of the SAS, v. v. i.

Applicant requirements and qualifications:

• Third-level university degree – PhD academic title in the field of philosophy (systematic philosophy, history of philosophy; logic)
• Scientific focus on contract theories in political and social philosophy (modern age - present) with a focus on issues of freedom, social justice, liberalism in the context of human rights
• A broader view is required with regard to issue of normativity, its sources, types and function in society
• Demonstrable ability to publish expert and scientific texts in Slovak and English language
• Demonstrable ability to solve and administer domestic and foreign projects
